About Duke Blue Devils Men's Basketball
The Duke Blue Devils men's basketball team has a pedigree for excellence in NCAA basketball. Each season, they are a threat to in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and do well in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. For 42 years the team was coached by Mike Krzyzewski, first all-time in wins with a 0.766 winning percentage. Duke's history is highlighted by 5 NCAA Championships, 17 Final Four appearances and over two dozen conference tournament championships.
Duke has produced 11 National Players of the Year and 71 NBA draftees. Additionally, Duke has 36 players named All-Americans and 14 Academic All-Americans. They have been the Atlantic Coast Conference Champions a record 22 times. They have finished the season ranked No. 1 in the AP poll seven times and are the all-time leader in total weeks ranked as the number one team in the nation by the AP. The Blue Devils have the third longest streak in the AP Top 25 in history with 200 consecutive appearances from 1996 to 2007, trailing just Kansas and UCLA.
