Jill Kimmel on Tour
Yes, she's the sister of that Kimmel, but Jill has a refreshing style of comedy all her own. The charismatic comedian finds absurdity in the everyday frustrations of being a mom, dealing with office politics and confronting the unexpected pitfalls of losing weight. She's performed on stages around the world, honing her humor while entertaining troops at US military bases in Germany, England, Italy, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan and beyond. Stateside, she's filled seats at some of the biggest comedy clubs in the country, including Stand Up Live, The Improv, The Laugh Factory and Catch a Rising Star. When she's not on tour, Kimmel can be found in her hometown of Phoenix, where she hosts a weekly comedy show at Dos Gringos in Tempe, Arizona, or up in Las Vegas as a regular headliner at Jimmy Kimmel's Comedy Club.
About Jill Kimmel
Comedy is in Jill Kimmel's DNA. You don't have to go far to prove it, given her natural ease on stage as she delivers humor that's both self-deprecating and universally relatable. She also happens to be the kid sister of another funny star — late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. Still, it took her over 35 years to step onto the comedy stage for the first time. As a kid, Kimmel and her family moved around a bit, from Brooklyn to Las Vegas to Phoenix, where, after a few attempts at being an actor, she became a mom and settled into a career in PR. It wasn't until 2006, when her then-husband Carson Bryan took her to a comedy show, that she decided to try stand-up for herself. At first, she kept her burgeoning career as a comedian a secret from her coworkers. Soon, though, she was juggling parenting and her day job with gigs at local comedy clubs. Establishing her career under her married name, Bryan, helped distance her from her brother's Hollywood fame. Since, she's proven herself a hot ticket, now as Jill Kimmel, sharing the stage with top comedians including Jimmy Fallon, Jeffrey Ross, Tom Papa and Tig Notaro. She's also been featured at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal and on Comedy Central's Kevin Hart: Hart of the City.
