What are the general rules of Mayo Civic Center Auditorium?
No cameras or recording devices. Upon Rochester Police Department recommendation, the Mayo Civic Center will begin implementing the following safety and security measures for all public events effective Sat Oct 27, 2001: *Patrons should enter the Mayo Civic Center via skyway or the Circle Drive Main Doors. In most cases, all other entrances will be locked. *All purses, bags and briefcases are subject to search. *Items such as sharp objects, weapons, pocket-knives, chains, aerosol spray cans and noisemakers such as cow bells, whistles and fog horns will be confiscated. *Backpacks, coolers, containers of any kind including water bottles, and outside food and beverages cannot be brought into the Center and will be confiscated. *Vehicles will not be allowed to park in fire lanes, loading zones, docks or service areas. Unattended vehicles will be ticketed and towed. *Any vehicles parked near entrances, on patios, sidewalks or grassy areas or in Mayo Park will be ticketed and towed. *All service doors, including Door 12, will be locked and unavailable for public access. The public's patience and cooperation is greatly appreciated.
