MY LIFE WITH THE THRILL KILL KULT IN CONCERT:
Industrial rock titans My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult stir up an intoxicating cocktail of sleazy lounge swagger, industrial dance rhythms, and confrontational rock to create a swinging party on stage. With song titles like “Sex on Wheelz” and “Kooler Than Jesus”, the band lets audiences know they are in for a wild ride at their rollicking live shows. Singer Groovie Mann orchestrates the pandemonium, charismatically chanting his subversive sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll lyrics as he sways to the band's tunes on stage. Industrial rock fans won’t be able to resist their propulsive rhythmic collage of metallic noises, sampled phrases, and techno beats that makes every song just as fun as it is freaky. With ticket buyers still talking about their 2014 album Spooky Tricks, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult is bringing their provocative and unforgettable dance party to select cities across America in 2015.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Founding members Groovie Mann (Frankie Nardiello) and Buzz McCoy (Marston Daley) met in 1986 while touring with industrial metal band Ministry. Mann invited McCoy to collaborate on a film he was producing called My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, which never materialized but did become the name of their new band in 1987. The following year the Chicago-based group released I See Good Spirits I See Bad Spirits, which became a staple on college radio stations and in industrial clubs. TKK continued to evolve and experiment over the course of the ‘90s and ‘00s, incorporating elements like surf rock, house, and go-go music into their signature sound. The band continues to put on a gripping and funky show every time they take the stage, delivering a no-holds-barred rock bonanza that's sure to please longtime fans and newcomers alike.
