Following the release of their 2004 debut album Inside, Parmalee spent two years on tour playing their eclectic brand of southern rock to venues across the nation. The hard work paid off as they developed a solid reputation for being as exciting on stage as they were in the recording studio. In the process they attracted the attention of Motley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx, who helped them write and produce their 2008 EP Complicated, a surprising return to their country roots. In 2012, hit singles “Musta Had a Good Time” and “Carolina” from 2013's Feels Like Carolina ruled the airwaves, with “Carolina” hitting No. 1 on the US Country Airplay chart and No. 2 on the US Country chart.
