Born in Dayton, Ohio, Yheti (born Tyler Holler) has evolved from playing friends' house parties on guitar amp speakers to headlining his own national tours and major EDM festivals. A veteran of the bass music scene who started experimenting with it in his teens, he grew up listening to many different genres of music, including country, pop and classical music, as well as bass music from around the world.

"I try to pull from as many genres of music that I can," Holler said in an interview with The Marquee. "Every time I listen to music, regardless of the genre, I try to find something about it that appeals to me and take that inspiration and work it into my music."

Earning his stripes through a rigorous touring schedule and an impressive amount of creative output has paid off in a huge fanbase around the globe, much to his surprise. Yheti always thought that if he pursued his passion for performing bass music he'd be broke and sleeping on friends' couches, so it was a revelation when he discovered he could earn a good living playing music he loved and performing shows and at festivals for enthusiastic fans.
