ZAZ IN CONCERT:

French jazz-pop chanteuse Zaz has been serving up her fresh-faced take on Gallic musical traditions ever since her 2010 debut. In concert, her optimistic lyrics, buoyant voice, and penchant for scat singing make for a decidedly festive experience, and feel-good hits like "Je Veux" only add to the fun. Zaz delighted fans on tour in support of sophomore album Recto Verso in 2013, with more appearances scheduled for 2014.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Tours, France, Zaz studied music in her childhood before earning a scholarship to attend music conservatory in Bordeaux. Singing in various jazz and blues outfits during the '00s, she developed a style as unique as it is indebted to legendary singers like Ella Fitzgerald and Edith Piaf. Her self-titled 2010 debut album was a huge success, topping charts throughout Europe on the strength of infectious singles like "Je Veux" and leading to an international tour. 2013 follow-up Recto Verso was a similar success, going double platinum and bringing Zaz back on the road for more tour dates in 2014.
