BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
California-born Mexican-American hip hop artist Baby Bash, a.k.a. Ronnie Ray Bryant, got his start in the mid-'90s performing with the group Potna Deuce. He released his solo debut album Savage Dreams in 2001, introducing listeners to his unique hybrid of West Coast, Southern, and Latin rap styles. Mainstream success came in 2003 with the release of his third album Tha Smokin’ Nephew, a gold-certified record that earned him his first Top 10 hit "Suga Suga". A string of successful albums followed during the decade, including 2005's Super Saucy and 2007's Cyclone. Bash has collaborated with a laundry list of high-profile artists including Akon, Nate Dogg, and Jennifer Hudson, and his electrifying performances on tour have made him a live favorite.
