BORN OF OSIRIS IN CONCERT:
For more than a decade, hard-hitting deathcore band Born of Osiris has been blowing minds and melting faces with their technically complex brand of metal. The group's incredibly intricate compositions feature all the djent metal trappings fans expect -- razor-sharp palm mutes, insane syncopation, virtuosic soloing -- and they execute their songs with mathematical precision at their spine-tingling live shows. Whether they're hurling savage screams on "Bow Down" or getting fans thrashing with the guitar-laden maelstrom of "Machine", Born of Osiris always deliver an adrenaline-filled concert experience full of decibel-shattering metalcore gold.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born of Osiris formed in the suburbs of Chicago in 2003 and quickly made a name for themselves in the city's metal scene. They performed under a variety of names in the mid-'00s including Diminished and Rosecrance before settling on Born of Osiris -- a nod to the Egyptian god of the afterlife -- in 2007. Their 2009 debut album A Higher Place planted them firmly on the metal map, cracking the Top 10 of both the Indie and Hard Rock charts and leading to a string of festival appearances including the Summer Slaughter and Music as a Weapon tours. Their 2011 follow-up album The Discovery was a similar success, peaking at No. 6 on the Hard Rock Chart and drawing the band out for another big tour. In 2013 the band released their third album Tomorrow We Die Alive, reaching No. 3 on the Hard Rock chart -- their highest position to date -- before hitting the road for another round of high-octane performances.
