Boys of Fall Live in Concert

Formed in Detroit in late 2011 by singer Michael Martenson, Boys of Fall's initial lineup featured members of Violets for Verona and Red Lights of Dawn. The band quickly released songs that were well received on the hardcore scene and played a lot of small local shows to prove themselves and swell their fanbase.

Practicing, writing and recording in a funeral home owned by Martenson's family provided a unique environment in which to create music, write songs and reflect on the meaning of life and death and the passage of time, themes they address in their sophomore album Distance. Martenson says the album is about change and "the lengths we travel in our lives through so many situations that bring you to where you are now."

With fans so loyal that they bring the band members' favorite foods to their shows and tattoo their names on their arms, Boys of Fall's live shows are like family reunions that are not to be missed.
