Boz Was Fantastic
I went to this concert more to see America than Boz Scaggs, but was somewhat disappointed with America's part of the show (as they didn't do as many of their "standards" as I had hoped. Boz on the other hand really did a GREAT show, well produced with GREAT musicians backing him up. He did ALL his greatest hits and brought back a lot of good memories. Very grateful to Boz Scaggs and his band for a truly fantastic evening. I'll definitely see him again if he's in the area!!!

Boz Still Has It
Our friends keep saying to us when we tell them we are going to yet another Boz Scaggs concert, "you are going to see Boz Scaggs again". To that I always reply, I will travel to experience Boz whenever he is within a 3 or 4 hour drive time from our home. Boz never fails to surround himself with equally talented musicians, which helps tremendously to enhance every concert tour. The concert at the IP Casino Resort in Biloxi, MS on Friday night was no exception. Boz's voice was exceptional, as were his backup musicians and the song selection. My only concern was that Boz relegated much of his guitar playing to the accompanying guitar player in his band. I just hope it wasn't a sign of failing physical abilities, but something more easily explained. None-the-less my recommendation is to go see Boz anytime that you can, it is well worth it.

Long-time fan
Having listened to Boz Scaggs since the 70's and having never seen him live, I was naturally in heaven. He played many old favorites and some wonderful newer tunes. I will definitely go to the next concert within driving distance. Now, having said that, I feel he was more or less going through the motions. There was very little interaction with the audience and not much in the way of chit-chat. Maybe he wasn't feeling well or maybe that is his usual schtick. Since this was my first live performance, I have no point of reference. But to be honest, he doesn't have to do a thing but perform to keep me coming back. Of all the artists I have heard for decades, Boz Skaggs is in my top few.

So So Show
We had seen Boz the last time he played IP (about a year ago). This show didn't seem to have the same energy. At times, I felt like Boz was going through the motions. After opening with one of his old hits, he went through a 4 song list that had the audience restless. The band is good and professional and helped to carry several songs. Toward the last part of the show, he got into several old songs-Lowdown,etc-that got the audience going. The encore with Johnny B Goode was too slow and anticlimatic. Boz is still unique, but I have seen him do better shows.

He can still bring it strong
Any time you can go to a concert and know every song the artist plays, you're in for a good night. And man, I had forgotten how many great songs Boz Scaggs has. From his opening number (Jojo) through the finale (Lido Shuffle), it was one big song after another. And Scaggs' voice hasn't lost a thing. He hits those high notes like he was still in this twenties. We've seen lots of great concerts this last year, and Boz Scaggs is one of the very best.

Exceptional
Boz Scaggs was amazing. Perfect from beginning to (a much too early) end. The man has not lost a thing in all these years. And his band (which included Shannon Forrest (Toto) on drums) was incredible. Wish it could have gone on longer. So happy I finally got to see him live. Put it on your list of things to do. Hope he comes back soon.

Great Show
Boz still has it. Entire band was awesome. Would highly recommend seeing him if he is in your area. Would go again in a minute.
BOZ SCAGGS is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. An early bandmate of Steve Miller in The Ardells and the Steve Miller Band, he began his solo career in 1969, though he lacked a major hit until his 1976 album Silk Degrees peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200, and produced the hit singles "Lido Shuffle" and "Lowdown". Scaggs produced two more platinum-certified albums in Down Two Then Left and Middle Man, the latter of which produced two top-40 singles "Breakdown Dead Ahead" and "Jojo". After a hiatus for most of the 1980s, he returned to recording and touring in 1988, joining The New York Rock and Soul Revue and opening the nightclub Slim's, a popular San Francisco music venue until it closed in 2020. He has continued to record and tour throughout the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s, with his most recent album being 2018's Out of the Blues.
Scaggs is credited for helping the formation of Toto. For his 1976 album, Silk Degrees, he hand picked musicians after taking suggestions from several people. These musicians were David Paich, David Hungate, and Jeff Porcaro. The three were already friends and had frequently performed together on other albums, such as Steely Dan's Pretzel Logic. By going on tour with Scaggs, it solidified the prospect of starting a band. Columbia picked up on this talent by offering the new group a contract "without audition". Steve Porcaro described this as "a record deal thrown in our laps". Paich stated "I'm not sure if Toto would have happened as soon, or quite the same way, without Silk Degrees". Their friendship has continued throughout the decades shown by the varying collaborations and concerts performed together. Paich teamed up once more for Scaggs' 2001 album, Dig, where he contributed to 6 out of the 11 songs.
