Camilo on Tour
Colombian singer-songwriter Camilo Echeverry -- known mononymously as Camilo -- is a Latin pop and urbano artist known for his soprano vocal range. He's won multiple Latin Grammys and has penned hits for artists such as Mau y Ricky and Sebastián Yatra.
Born in Medellín, Camilo first came to recognition on the talent show "XS Factor," which he won in 2007, after which he released his first single, "Regálame Tu Corazón." The following year, Camilo appeared on Colombian telenovelas "Super Pá" and "En los tacones de Eva," as well as the childrens' show "Bichos."
In 2010, Camilo released a mixtape, Tráfico de Sentimientos. He took a break from music after that but returned a few years later, relocating to Miami and writing songs for other artists, including Becky G and Natti Natasha ("Sin Pijama"), Anitta ("Veneno"), and Sebastian Yatra with Mau y Ricky ("Ya No Tiene Novio"). "Ya No Tiene Novio" became a huge hit in 2018, garnering more than 517 million views on YouTube.
Camilo Live in Concert
As a solo artist, in 2018 Camilo released the song "Desconocidos" with Manuel Turizo and Mau y Ricky. The track was successful, peaking at No. 23 on Billboard's Latin Pop Airplay chart. The following year, Camilo performed at the Venezuela Live Aid concert in Cúcuta, Colombia. Also in 2019, Camilo released the song "No Te Vayas," which got more than 59 million YouTube views. Likewise, Camilo's 2019 song "La Boca" with Mau y Ricky went triple platinum. Camilo also made his U.S. television debut in 2019, appearing at the 2019 Premios Juventud in Miami, where he performed "La Boca" and "No Te Vayas."
In 2020, Camilo released his debut studio album, Por Primera Vez, which featured the single "Tutu." Featuring collaborations with his wife Evaluna Montaner, Mexican singer Christian Nodal, Puerto Rican singer Pedro Capó, and fellow Colombian singer Shakira, Por Primera Vez landed at No. 1 on Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and No. 5 on the Top Latin Albums list. It was also nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 21st Latin Grammy Awards. Meanwhile, "Tutu" was nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Song, which he won. The song "El Mismo Aire" was also nominated for Song of the Year. At the 63rd Grammy Awards, the album received a nomination for Best Latin Pop or Urban Album.
Camilo followed up in 2021 with his sophomore album, Mis Manos, which debuted in the Top 5 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums Chart. In 2022, Camilo released his third studio album, De Adentro Pa Fuera, which featured the singles "Indigo," "Pesadilla" and "Pegao." Camilo also announced a 2022 tour in support of the album, hitting venues like the American Airlines Center in the U.S., Mexico, as well as touching down in Spain, Puerto Rico, Colombia, and Canada.
