While working as an actor on the popular Venezuelan telenovela “Destino de Mujer,” Carlos Baute used his free time to hone his skills as a singer and musician. After releasing several solo albums in the mid-'90s, his career took off in 1999 with the release of Yo Naci Para Querer, a huge hit with Spanish speaking audiences. After a move to Spain, his television career continued to flourish as he landed starring roles in the Spanish TV programs Aladinna and Mis Adorables Vecinos. He has released six albums, and in 2012 he recorded the hit duet “Las Cosas Que Me No Espero” with Italian singer Laura Pausini—a successful move that generated much anticipation for a Carlos Baute tour in both the Americas and Europe.
