Cowboy Mouth never fails to deliver - and what a great venue this was. Might have been the first CM show I've seen that wasn't GA, which means I was able to get right up to the stage without having to squeeze past my fellow fans. Griff was literally within arms' reach!
If you haven't seen Cowboy Mouth before, put them on your bucket list - there aren't many bands in their league when it comes to making you feel glad to be alive!

Cowboy Mouth clearly has some talent in the band. I first remember becoming aware of CM around 20 years ago. At the time, the drummer Fred's, antics were extremely entertaining. I saw a handful of shows over the years, the most recent having been 2011. It was fun enough and felt it was good entertainment for a 3rd date.
Now seeing the band again in 2018 at the House of Blues with my now husband and we were entertained. However, we left a little early since the show was the same as what we had already seen.
We just spent a week on the Rock Boat where CM played at least 3 shows. We heard Fred yelling, "The name of the band is Cowboy Mouth." and "Put your hands in the air." so many times it became a running joke. Other passengers were heard saying that they avoid CM shows because everyone is the same. While other artists switched up their playlists and played the same songs a few times over the course of the week, CM did the same thing over and over.
I find it unfortunate that the band's musical abilities aren't utilized to entertain the audience. Fred's wild and crazy antics could be used to keep the audience motivated while the band showcased their catalog of music created over a couple decades. Instead, there are only glimpses of musical expertise between the audience being yelled at to put their hands in the air and scream. Again and again. . . .
