Craig David is a British R&B singer-songwriter and international pop sensation with No. 1 hits and worldwide sales in the millions. In the late ‘90s, Craig David was a part of the UK garage and R&B scene, working as a DJ in nightclubs and on local radio. His first taste of fame was working on a B-side by R&B group, Damage, which lead to recording vocals for Artful Dodger. Their song “Re-Rewind” featuring Craig David propelled David into the spotlight. He was quickly signed to Wildstar Records and started working on a debut album.
Early the following year he released his debut single “Fill Me In” which was a smash hit, selling nearly half a million copies and reaching number 15 on the Billboard Chart. The album, Born To Do It, ended up selling more than eight million copies worldwide. His 2002 album, Slicker Than The Average, continued his strong chart success with hits including “Rise & Fall” featuring Sting and “What's Your Flava?”
After signing with Warner he released The Story Goes...in 2005 and Trust Me in 2007. Each album produced a number of chart hits. His final album with Warner was a Greatest Hits album, that included two new tracks, both a nod back to his UK garage roots that featured Rita Ora and Tinchy Stryder. In 2009 he released Signed, Sealed & Delivered, which featured Motown covers of songs from artists like Marvin Gaye and The Four Tops. He then went back to his DJ roots, reuniting with DJ Spoony to release Rewind Old Skool Classics in 2010. In 2011 he played at the Michael Jackson tribute Concert at The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and he wrote material for The Backstreet Boys in 2012.
