Dave Mason
Excellent show by a couple of iconic figures of rock and roll. They can still jam with the best.

Stand The Test Of Time
Went to see and hear Steve Cropper. He is fabulous! For 55 years I have admired his ability to be "behind" the vocals, the horns and fill it all out without attracting attention to himself. An ever so intregral part of the band. Green Onions is a fun instrumental where he stands our/shines but Cropper's licks that support, articuate, complete vocals and horn riffs are absolutely without compare! Listen closely - he's there - right behind the other 5 performers in this fabulous show making them the best they can be. A true artist and showman. Mason is great in his own right but be sure to pay attention to the man from Memphis.

Legends of rock and soul
From our experience there is not a bad seat at the Stiefel. The acoustics are wonderful. All of their old hits were covered. It was an excellent opportunity to see seasoned talent. We enjoyed the group from Hesston, KS. that were there to cheer on their girl, Gretchen.

Dave Mason at the Stiefel
This was my third Dave Mason concert this year and the venue at the Stiefel Theater in Salina Kansas was unbelievable. The acoustics fabulous, the setting beautiful, and the performance was the best. I'm grateful that this one was close to home. Rock on Dave and friends!
David Mason is an English musician, singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Worcester, who first found fame with the rock band Traffic. In his long career, Mason has played and recorded with many of the era's most notable musicians including Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, George Harrison and Mama Cass Elliot. Mason's best known song is "Feelin' Alright" recorded by Traffic in 1968 and covered by dozens of artists, including Joe Cocker, who had a major hit with the song in 1969. For Traffic, he also wrote "Hole in My Shoe" a kind of psychedelic satire that became a classic in its own right. "We Just Disagree" Mason's 1977 solo hit written by Jim Krueger, has become a staple of Oldies and Adult Contemporary radio playlists.
