Dom Kennedy, aka Dominic Hun, was raised in South Central LA on a steady diet of basketball and hip hop. After spending some time studying business management at a local community college, he decided music was where his passion lay and began writing rhymes and producing beats. He released his debut mixtape 25th hour in 2008, quickly becoming a local radio sensation with popular songs like "Watermelon Sundae". Several more successful mixtapes followed, and in 2011 he released his full-length debut album From the Westside with Love, II.
