Elder Live in Concert
Founded by Nick DiSalvo, Elder emerged in a small coastal town in Massachusetts in the mid 2000s. The current lineup includes frontman Nick DiSalvo on guitar and vocals , Jack Donovan slays the bass , Michael Risberg plays double time on the guitar and keyboard, while Georg Edert goes hardon the drums .Other notable musicians who helped shape the band's sound include Matt Couto (who played drums from 2006 to 2019) and Chas Mitchell (who held down the bass duties from 2006 to 2007). Elder has released a total of five full albums, including 2021's ELDOVAR -- A Story of Darkness & Light. Each album is more progressive and unique than the last, and the band has also released multiple EPs and demos.. In a 2015 interview with It's Psychedelic Baby Magazine, DiSalvo said Elder doesn't really fit into any specific genre. "I wouldn't consider Elder a stoner band at all anymore," DiSalvo said. "Elder is not intended to be any sort of band at all, or to fit into any genre constraints nice and neatly, since we're really not interested in recycling the same ideas album after album. Our goal is to write interesting and innovative music that resonates with us (and hopefully some others!)."
