Always room for improvement
I liked the idea of collecting the venue badges for prizes.. What I didn't like was in order to collect the Beauty Bungalow badge you had to have purchased a ticket to get into the event. The event was sold out. So you had no way of getting into the bungalow if you only wanted to collect the badge. The gospel tribute was nice. The seating was limited for the Free event, yet people were holding upwards of 7 chairs for friends for over 1 hour. since it was a first come first serve bases, why allow that? Would it be too expensive to have food options such as subway, etc.

Exquisitely Done!
I have been several times previously; but this has got to be one of the BEST CONCERTS EVER!!!! Sunday night was an absolute BLAST!!! Teddy Riley, OMG! He brought forth Hi-Five, Tank, Ginuwine, KEITH SWEAT, Wreckz in Effect, MC Lyte, Kool Mo Dee, SWV, GUY, BlackStreet with David Hollister. That was an entire concert by itself. Doug E. Fresh and Ashanti, then high energy Fantasia, who surprised us with K.C. from Jodeci. The Almighty Ms. Janet Jackson. I literally thought I had a glimpse of HEAVEN!!! Everyone performed well. Everyone sounded exactly like themselves (no just studio voices). GREAT VOICES. GREAT PERFORMANCES. I am ready for 2019!!

Essence Festival
The super lounges are a good idea but not user friendly AT ALL. The performance were overlapped so I missed some of the shows I really wanted to see. See, I had knee surgery not long ago and could not do all of that walking, so I just ended up staying at the main stage. I enjoyed the concert but disappointed that Snoop took us to church for an hour. I love and appreciate where he is in his life but that's not what his fans came to hear from him and upset that he does not appear to realize it or maybe just don't give a damn. Some praise would be good but Snoop, it was just too long and not fair to your fans.

Best Essence Fest ever!!!
The concerts were awesome. The empowerment seminars were enlightening. The crowds were overwhelming but we all had so much fun.

Too much!
In our case we’ve attended before but this year seemed extremely thrown together and rushed, way too many people with no check in, the sound system at the venue in the Superdome was trash I don’t think I’ll ever go again
