It was a nice event but I wish it was better organized as far as getting your will call tickets. The lines were ridiculous long and then was told to go to different places to retrieve the tickets. I missed some shows in the super lounge do to me waiting in line

It was AMAZING! I loved that they had a lot of surprise artist. It was my 1st time attending and I’m definitely will be going back next year!

Essence was AMAZING!!!
This was my first time attending Essence & it was a great & unforgettable experience!! I traveled with 3 of my closest friends & we had the time of our lives! I definitely recommend going at least once. It will now be our annual girls trip! The only thing bad I can say is that the sound guy this year should be fired! He had too many problems for this big of an event. But overall still a great weekend!!

Janet Jackson was amazing.
I have been to the Essence on numerous occasions.I really do believe the movie Girls Trip really boost this years Essence.I had an amazing time.Evey one was dress so nice.Lots of ladies had on matching t-shirts.

FANTASTIC EVENT
Enjoy the 2018 Essence Festival so much!! Every night of concerts was wonderful. Jill Scott and Erykah Badu!! had R & B Church. FANTASIA!!!! Is a damn entertainer!!! She left her hear and soul on the stage.. The only negative is that the super dome sound system needs upgrading. The sound was horrible.

i would highly recommend "Essence Festival" to everyone. The Janet Jackson concert was all that and amazing in itself. The entire show: (Teddy Riley, Fantasia, etc. was awesome)..
