Fat Nick In Concert
Truly all about finding the lean in life, Fat Nick has fashioned himself something between a hardcore rapper and a wise, proverb-spitting sage. Born in 1994 in Miami, Florida, Nick grew up in a household with a Greek father and Peruvian mother. As a child, he was influenced by a wide range of music, from Future and Chief Keef to Blink-182 and Taking Back Sunday, which somehow all come through in the diverse tunes he's been dropping for the past few years.
In middle school, Fat Nick met Pouya, who would become not only one of his best friends, but also one of his most important collaborators. Bonding immediately over skateboarding and rap, the two would go on to release a lot of music together, like 2017's fiery ‘Drop Out of School,' which featured the blowout single "Middle of the Mall." That track's video has more than 4 million views on YouTube. Fat Nick and Pouya also have their own YouTube show called the Nick and Pouya Show. Their collab track "Undecided" has topped 7 million streams on the site.
Nick dropped his own full-length ‘When the Lean Runs Out' on the Buffet Boys label in 2016 and would go on to bang out a ton of excellent solo work — like "Swipe Swipe," which premiered as a World Star Hip Hop Exclusive video on YouTube, getting more than a million views. "WTF" has more than 3 million.
Fat Nick gained widespread acclaim with his 2018 abum ‘Generation Numb,' which featured his blockbuster collab with BlackBear, "Ice Out." XXL magazine said the album was "filled with confident flexes." Between his stellar singles, his blond dreadlocks, his infectious vibes, and his colorful attire, you'll definitely know Fat Nick when you see him. His live sets, like at Rolling Loud 2018, bring energy to the stage and tend to fire up the crowd.
