Herb Alpert & Lani Hall were terrific!

I saw Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass when I was 12-years-old at the Baltimore Civic Center. I was thrilled to find out that he and his wife were going to perform at the Birchmere! Herb Alpert sounds as wonderful as he did when I saw him in 1967 and Lani Hall's voice is a strong and clear as it was when she was the lead singer for Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66. The music brought back such wonderful memories! My dad was the one who took me to see my very first concert which happened to be Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass. The only thing that would have made that night better would have been having my dad be there with me at the concert!

Great to attend such a relaxed and laid back performance - great music, great stories! Herb and Lani both showed that they really love to perform and did an excellent job. Hope to see them again at Carolina Theater, Durham!!!

What a show!

Beginning to end, this was well planned, played and sung. The concert was so entertaining and was mixed with great stories and anecdotes. There were laughs and surprises. Loved it!

IF YOU WANT A SHOW THAT IS CONTINUOUSLY GREAT MUSIC, THIS IS ONE! EVERYONE IS SO PROFESSIONALLY TALENTED AND COMPLIMENT EACH OTHER IN MUSIC AND SONG! LEAVE WITH A "WOW"!

We had another great evening at CTD!!! We have been to CTD quite a few times in the last few years and all have been great.

Herb Alpert still plays a smooth trumpet.

Show was very well put together. They were on the stage for 2 hours (no intermission) and played most of the time. Great videos and multimedia addition. Sang many of his old songs ibut often in a medley and sang some great cover songs from Brazil 66, Antonio Carlos Jobim as well as the Beatles. His wife has a beautiful voice and the rest of the band is first class. Well worth the ticket.

Beautiful music, great retrospective videos, lovely paintings, and awesome arrangements! We could really feel the love between Herb and Lani!

Amazing concert! Excellent musicians that Herb introduced as family. He is a National Treasure. Lani has the most beautiful voice & the way they look at one another...true love. Piano “solo” w/vocals-beyond description. Also loved the video display of Herb’s artwork & vintage video from TJB! Loved this show!

Fun night of easy latin rhythm jazz

Very enjoyable evening of latin tinged jazz playing covers of pop, Jobim and of course a great Tijuana Brass medley. Lani Hall's vocals were strong and a welcomed addition to the show. Fabulous fun rapport with audience.

Amazing show! Listening to Herb Alpert as a child on my parent’s turntable...those iconic melodies have veen permanently recorded in my mind. Whipped Cream and Other Delights provided hours of entertainment and the cover was about the raciest thing I had ever seen! Herb has a professiosl, talented group..but honestly from the first note, it wa all about Herb! The creative display of art and video during the music was very effective. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
