Jacksonport is a small town in Door County, Wisconsin where I spent summers growing up.
It’s where my family owns 1/12th of a cottage on Lake Michigan. Where I discovered the stars, trees, storms and waves. When I gave up my Brooklyn apartment in March 2019 and took off in my car, Little Nipper, it felt like the place I could call home.
Jacksonport is the ongoing exploration of how I fit into the world. It’s where I try to understand what ties us all together, and what sometimes makes me feel so terrifyingly alone. It’s a space to feel and not overthink. To care unabashedly. To allow myself to be at peace, for a moment.
My first album came out in 2021, and is titled “Looking for a Light” (04/02/2021, Tularosa Records) . I recorded it with my friend Mike Siegel in Sommerville, MA.
I wrote and recorded my second album, “Scenes From Bellevue Park” (05/11/2022, Tularosa Records) upon moving to Los Angeles in 2020. My friend Emily lent me her garage to record the basics, and I was able to connect with friends all over the country through remote recording.
I released “Live at Moonrise” (01/18/2023, Tularosa Records) to document the live solo show’s I’ve been playing in Los Angeles.
In October 2023, I release my third studio album “Dusted Beauty” (Ay Caramba Records). I was able to merge my new life in L.A. with my musical roots - Garret Lang and Sean O’Brien hosted me at “Knobworld” in Echo Park and I brought in some of my oldest friends from NYC to record. My cherished buddy and fellow LA newcomer Adrian Olsen co-produced with me and engineered.
