John Sharples is a veteran indie session musician and producer (Rebecca Turner, Mary Lorson, Matt Keating). Sharples knows and has worked with some of the best, yet criminally-unheralded songwriters. The John Sharples Band is his project which covers his favorite songs composed by his super-talented friends.
Sharples and band re-arrange his friends’ compositions in a genre that blends the 12-string guitar-based folk-rock of the 60’s (Byrds, Beatles, Dylan) with lush harmonies, as well as the harder stuff. Sharples also helms the AC/DC tribute band, Big Balls (with Anna Copa Cabanna).
