We saw Def Leppard and Journey in LR Ar. I had never seen Journey in concert and was very much looking forward to it. Def Leppard opened the concert and like the previous time I saw them, they did a great job and was a great show. When Journey came out, the sound system was so over modulated and distorted a lot of the songs you could barely understand the words. I love a loud rock concert and dont have a problem with loud. In this case distorted and loud just gave me a crazy headache. After the first 3 songs we almost left, but I wanted to stick it out hoping the sound guys would correct the problem. I heard tons of other people complaining about the same thing.

You won’t regret it
Def Leppard sounded amazing and put on a great show. Journey was really good too but lacked in just a few areas. Bottom line is go! It was totally worth it

Music was so loud you couldn’t hear the singer. On some songs if you didn’t recognize the music you had no idea what they were singing. Couldn’t understand/ hear the words to the song.

Def Leppard was great.
Def Leppard was a excellent show. But journey had their acoustics adjusted wrong although they weren't bad but the speakers were turned up too loud on top of the acoustics being adjusted wrong. It gave me and my whole family a headache.

Journey and Def Leppard together amazing!
We had a great time, my only issue was that the music during Journeys performance was too loud, during Def Leppard the volume was much better. My ears were ringing the next day, but we had an excellent time, We will go again.

Def Leppard was great. Journey sucked. The bass was way to high

Song Lineup and Sound Needed Some Adjustments
Journey started the show extremely strong with a song that got everybody on their feet. GREAT start! Awesome. There were times in the sound where the drums were overpowering and a time or two when the keyboard was overpowering to the point that it almost sounded like each was playing a different song or in a different key. My critique of the song order is, by the end of the show, you want the crowd worked into a fever pitch. Instead, Journey took it down to a keyboard solo covered with a spoken narrative. The crowd began to sit down. Now...they amped back up with another blockbuster hit to close the show, but the soft keys and narrative to intro it just brought the energy down. I thought Arnel Pineda was cute as a button. He had great energy and was very engaging with the crowd. He did a great job. Everybody knows he has some big shoes to fill and a lot to live up to in the shadow of Steve Perry. He held his own and had great presence.

Def Leppard show
By far Def Leppard should have been headliner. They sounded great, lighting and stage performance was amazing, connected with audience and wasn’t overbearing loud. I love Journey and have been to many of there shows since Steve Perry days and don’t know what was going on but they were to LOUD, not really connected to audience. I had people behind me covering there ears so it wasn’t just me. I had people around me leaving before show was over. Maybe they didn’t adjust to smaller venue and they are use to playing in larger arenas or outdoor venue. I was very disappointed

Journey in Concert
As the original legends of arena rock, few bands in existence put on a show quite like Journey. Anchored by singer Arnel Pineda's thrilling vocals and Neal Schon's unstoppable guitars, the band continues to show fans, both old and new, exactly how it's done as they tear through marathon sets of classics like "Don't Stop Believin'" and "Open Arms." After a short break from their relentless tour schedule, they're primed to blow minds again in 2014, pairing up with Steve Miller Band for select dates that are sure to be the stuff of classic rock legend for years to come.
Journey Background
San Francisco-born Journey is the quintessential arena rock band. Assembled in 1973 from the ashes of Santana and Frumious Bandersnatch, the band has since gone through a number of line-up changes — only stalwart guitarist Neal Schon has been with every incarnation. Despite a rotating roster, the band has sold 47 million albums in the US, and is consistently named one of the ten best American rock bands in history. While the '70s and '80s provided them with the most commercial success, their current manifestation with Filipino singer Arnel Pineda has given them truly global breadth.
