Chairs were very small and uncomfortable and packed together very tightly. We liked the warm-up comedian better than Lewis Black. Black was okay, but every other word out of his mouth is the F-word, which gets old. It's not really that funny if that's basically all you do.

Lewis Black
I'm not crazy about this venue, only because the floor seating is flat and not sloping like most floor venues. (I assume it's to accommodate musical acts standing room). Also, I'm still not sure about what that whole last portion of the act was about. Apparently, we were going live on line for the whole world to see. I am of the opinion, that if they wanted to see the show, they should of bought a ticket.

Disappointed with timing of live performance
Lewis didn't make the stage until 9 pm and then hour or less later there was an intermission. The show just seemed to drag out unnecessarily. It was like a good TV show with way too many commercials.

Great show
We always get our tickets as soon as possible for his show. As always Lewis had sharp commentary on current events. He makes a point to do a signing session after the show and is patient and friendly with each person.

The rant was on and it was great! Have enjoyed his performance multiple times. Opening act was great as well.

Big time disappointment. Never will see him again!
Several years ago I saw Lewis Black on HBO and he was very clever and funny. So I had high expectations for his live show in Cincinnati. The opening act (cant remember his name) was very funny. Then Lewis Black arrived on stage and went on an 80 minute rant about Republicans and Fox News and just kept going back to the same thing over and over to the point where both me and my wife almost walked out. And yes, several people in the audience walked out. It's not about me and my wife being Conservative, but if we wanted to watch nearly an hour and a half about someone going off on on Republicans and not in a funny way, we would have stayed home and watched CNN. What turned me off the most about his performance is he looked at his watch 3 times near the end to make sure he didn't stay longer than planned. Looking at his watch???? Come on! $250 dinner, $150 tickets, Lewis Black - forget-able. So disappointing!!
LEWIS BLACK ON TOUR:
Comedian and social critic Lewis Black is renowned for his hilariously angry face and simulated mental breakdowns. At his quick-witted live shows, Black skewers the absurdities of history, religion, and politics with impassioned rants that are as funny as they are eye-opening. Whether he's feigning befuddlement with current social trends or making light of pop culture's bloated landscape, Black has made clear that fans at his 2014 tour dates can only expect one thing: the unexpected.
SNAPSHOT BACKGROUND:
A brainy kid born into a blue collar household, Lewis Black was raised in the Washington D.C. suburb of Silver Spring, Maryland. It was there that he developed the absurd but adroit insights that would later serve his comedic talents. Initially working as a playwright out of the renowned Yale School of Drama, Black found his calling in the roasts he would give plays during his personal introductions of new works to audiences. From there he honed his craft with bit parts in films and TV, eventually earning the respect of New York's funny underbelly. Since then, he's become a Comedy Central staple, both on his own show Lewis Black's Root of All Evil and on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Hot on the heels of a new live CD/DVD released in 2013, Black will hit the road for another round of laugh-filled nights on his 2014 tour.
