Mallrat on Tour
Hip-hop, EDM and pop are twisted together by Australian singer/songwriter Mallrat. The critically acclaimed viral star is currently on her international 2022 tour, making stops in the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Switzerland, the United States, and Canada. This tour follows Mallrat's 2022 debut album, Butterfly Blue. With a hypnotic flow, Mallrat's live performances are filled with thrilling beats and relatable lyrics that are combined with a mixture of genres to ensure a positive experience for all different types of music fans. Releasing her first EP, Uninvited, in 2016, Mallrat has continued to produce genre-bending hits. In 2018, she released her second EP, In The Sky, quickly followed by the EP Driving Music in 2019 and her debut full-length album, Butterfly Blue, in 2022.
An Australian superstar, Mallrat was born Grace Shaw in Brisbane, Australia, in 1998. Her stage name was chosen from the 2013 Orwells hit, "Mallrats (La La La)." Before she was known, Shaw began to upload self-made music when she was 16 and was inspired by artists like Grimes, Skrillex and Allday. Shaw was able to tour with Allday on their 2019 North American tour. Her music has received a large amount of critically acclaimed success, including winning the Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition's 2018 Unpublished Prize for her song "Better," as well as being nominated for the 2019 MTV Music Awards Best Australian Act. Her success continued, being nominated for Australia's National Live Music Award in 2019 for Live Pop Act of the Year and in 2020 for Best Live Act in Queensland. Mallrat was also nominated for the 2020 ARIA Music Awards Breakthrough Artist and Song of the Year for her EP Driving Music and single "Charlie." "Charlie" was also nominated for the 2020 APRA Awards for Song of the Year and Mallrat was nominated for their 2021 Breakthrough Writer of the Year award. Mallrat is quickly becoming an international sensation with more than 1.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
