BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born into a musical family, Marc Scibilia started playing piano at the age of six and moved on to guitar in his 20s. Acting on the advice of his high school counselor (albeit sarcastic), the budding songwriter moved to Nashville to write and perform. The joke was on his "mentor" when Scibilia released his self-titled EP in 2012, which immediately led to opening spots for the likes of John Oates and Six Pence None the Richer. His rise continued in 2013 with The Shape I’m In EP, which led to headlining shows of his own. Scibilia experienced something of a breakthrough in 2015 when his rendition of Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land” was featured in a Jeep ad that aired during the Super Bowl. That exposure made Scibilia one of the most Shazamed artists during the sporting event and led to interviews with and coverage from outlets like Rolling Stone, USA Today, and Billboard. With a full-length album in the works, Scibilia is busy adding more fans to his ever-growing following with his rousing performances on tour.
