MILLY began as the recording project of multi-instrumentalist, Brendan (B. Reid) Dyer in 2018 with some home recordings after the dissolution of his first band, Furness, in Bristol, Connecticut. Influences for early MILLY included groups like Yo La Tengo and Swirlies. Once Dyer picked up and moved to Los Angeles, several live lineups were pasted together and shows followed. After signing to Dangerbird Records in 2019, the band went out on their first US tour supporting shoegaze legends swervedriver.A couple of EPs and a LP, all of which were produced by Corey Coffman of Gleemer, were released and met with fan and critic acclaim alike.2022 and 2023 saw the band on tour with like minded acts such as waveform*, Teethe, and Bedlocked (to name a few) and the band released an EP of Sebadoh covers in the spring of 2023 and a new song entitled Grab The Wheel in October of 2023.
MILLY's current lineup consists of Dyer (Vocals, Guitars), along with Yarden Erez (Bass/Vocals), Conner Frankel (Drums), and live guitarist Nico Moreta.
