World-renowned DJ and super-producer Moby dropped his 11th studio album Innocents in October 2013, impressing fans yet again with the announcement that it was entirely recorded in his Los Angeles apartment. Moby is best known for the 1999 musical milestone, “Play,” which not only sold 10 million copies and produced eight singles, but also turned EDM into a household name. In 2013, Moby entertained ticket holders with both old and new songs, covering popular and lesser-known material from all 11 of his studio albums. Between a small tour in support of “Innocents,” as well as a handful of west coast DJ sets and festivals, Moby keeps concertgoers in both theaters and rave tents happy with his massive energy and stage presence. His newest album "Innocents" is an ambient and introspective LP. It features a broad range of guest collaborators, including Skylar Grey, Cold Specks, Mark Lanegan, Damien Jurado and Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips.
Cycling through several pseudonyms, Moby had his breakthrough as Moby with his single "Go." In 1993, Moby signed with Mute Records and in 1999, his fifth studio album "Play" sold millions, sky-rocketing him into super stardom. “Innocents” is the first album Moby has made that is self-produced, and this new creative approach has helped generate some of the artist's most mesmerizing and ambient electro-pop in years. Considered by AllMusic as "one of the most important dance music figures of the early 90s," Moby will not disappoint in the days to come. From early 1990s rave anthems and forays into break-beat hardcore to the gorgeous melodies and string arrangements on classic albums, like “Play,” “18” and “Wait for Me,” a Moby concert runs the stylistic gamut when it comes to music. It's like watching a master DJ make a great mix tape right before your eyes.
