BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
School friends Stuart Braithwaite, Dominic Aitchison, and Martin Bulloch got together to form Mogwai in 1995, naming their band after the furry characters in the film Gremlins. The Scotland natives released their debut album Mogwai Young Team two years later, introducing listeners to their signature instrumental sound. Since then, the post-rock band has released eight studio albums including 2014's Rave Tapes, which peaked on the Scottish charts at No. 2 -- their highest charting album yet. Mogwai are constantly expanding their repertoire with new projects -- whether they're collaborating with Gary Lightbody (Snow Patrol) or composing soundtrack music for the film Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait, they never fail to present their music in a unique way. Mogwai won't disappoint as they share their hit-filled sets with eager fans on a string of upcoming tour dates.
