New York, NY
After releasing 9 singles between 2019-2020, and heavily gigging around the northeast for the past 5 years, playing in every Bar/Club/Backyard and DIY Basement Venue in every college town and city that would have them, NJ/NYC based Cosmic Americana band, Mojohand are finally releasing their debut full-length album, "Songbook" on October 29th, 2021
In March of 2021 Mojohand entered the studio to start recording their debut album "Songbook" with Sean Walsh from the National Reserve as producer at his studio South First Sound in Brooklyn, NY. All the songs on Songbook were written during the Covid lockdown and the band feels like it's their most thoughtful material yet when it comes to both the lyrics/songwriting and the actual arrangement and playing of the music. Sean Walsh sings background vocals on a couple of tracks, John Lee Shannon plays Mandolin and some extra guitar on a couple of the tracks, and Jonny Lam plays pedal steel on a couple of tracks and Taylor Rushing did the album artwork! Songbook will be released on 10/29, with it's lead single "Highway Girl" being released on 10/22.
