Nanpa Básico was born in 1993 in the country of Colombia, but it wasn't long before the young rapper and singer/songwriter began his ascent to stardom breaking into the music scene at age 10. As he continued to hone his craft, he often listened to artists like of Darío Gómez, Capleton, Concha Buika, and the Saïan Supa Crew for inspiration.
Básico utilized music to deal with and express how he felt about the nonconformity in society. He quickly drew fans to his music as they could feel the emotion he put into every song he wrote and performed. In 2004 joined the group Selva De Asfalto before releasing his first demo in 2005.
It wasn't until 2010 before the rapper decided to venture out on his own as a soloist. Once performing alone, Básico released his first record, Entre Esquinas.
Throughout his career, Nanpa Básico has had the opportunity to perform at many festivals throughout Latin America, including the Almax Festival. He has also gained popularity thanks to his Traveler Tour and the hit single "Ya para Que."
