Nina Nesbitt In Concert
Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Nina Nesbitt has been captivating audiences with her smart, honest pop since she was 17. When Ed Sheeran tapped her to support him on a tour of Europe, she leveled up from playing pubs around her home country of Scotland to performing in front of huge crowds — a challenge she accepted with gusto.
In the years since, she's toured with pop heavyweights Justin Bieber and Lewis Capaldi, performed in honor of Scotland at a World Cup qualifier, and discussed Instagram-era body image at the Women in the World summit. Along the way, she released folk-tinged pop songs that drew material from everyday life — her 2016 EP Life in Colour took that idea further, using stories from the lives of five fans as fodder for its lyrics.
Nesbitt spent much of 2018 playing out and honing her craft. She worked as a songwriter and producer alongside artists like Jessie Ware and Jasmine Thompson, and she toured the United States with Jake Bugg. She also played a slew of festivals around the world, including South By Southwest in Austin, The Great Escape in Brighton, and TRNSMT in Glasgow.
She released music at a steady clip, including the romance-tinged "Somebody Special" and the heartbroken "The Best You Had." Her discography for the year also included a collaboration with fellow up-and-comers Sasha Sloan and Charlotte Lawrence on the Spotify-sponsored single "Psychopath."
The February 2019 release of her second full-length album, The Sun Will Come Up, The Seasons Will Change signals a shift toward more pop-oriented material. The album includes songs Nesbitt recorded in her bedroom studio alongside bangers that have been cheered by the likes of Taylor Swift and Chloë Grace Moretz, as well as ballads that showcase her raw storytelling and vocal talent.
