Old Sea Brigade on Tour
Typically synonymous with country music talent, Nashville is also the home to a soft-spoken, indie-folk singer/songwriter Ben Cramer, also known as Old Sea Brigade. With a consistent stream of new projects and tours, Old Sea Brigade's music has been gaining popularity since the mid 2010s.
Old Sea Brigade found himself touring quite frequently in 2018 and peaking in 2019 before slowing down in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19. Set to commence his European tour in 2023, Old Sea Brigade will be making stops in Glasgow, Manchester, Oslo, Hamburg, Copenhagen, and Berlin. Riddled with acoustic guitar melodies and calming lyrics, Old Sea Brigade provides listeners with an authentic, easy-going and tender sound that is reminiscent of sitting next to a warm fire on a cold rainy day. Lyrically, Old Sea Brigade often captures the true essence of many human emotions, including the stresses of life, loss and love that presents itself in his folky, country-rooted sound.
Cramer initially launched the Old Sea Brigade project with a series of EPs and singles, including his first self-titled EP back in 2016, which featured the single "Love Brought Weight." In 2019, Old Sea Brigade debuted his first full-length album titled Ode to a Friend. The following year, in 2020, he released the collaborative album, All the Ways You Sing in the Dark with British singer/songwriter Luke Sital-Singh featuring the single "Call Me When You Land." He would follow that up with another album in 2021 titled Motivational Speaking, which lyrically details many feelings of isolation, stress and misunderstandings due to the COVID-19 lockdown that resonates deeply with his fans. His third album, 5am Paradise, was released in 2022.
Old Sea Brigade Live in Concert
Born in Atlanta, Cramer spent several years playing in various acts around the city and surrounding area. However, Cramer would decide to carve a new solo path and found a homebase in Nashville. Under the Nettwerk Music Group label, the beginning of Old Sea Brigade came in the form of his debut self-titled EP in 2016. Cramer has been writing and producing music as Old Sea Brigade ever since. Gaining national and international popularity, Old Sea Brigade's songs can be heard on hit television shows such as "Grey's Anatomy," "This Is Us," "Nashville," and "A Million Little Things."
Old Sea Brigade boasts 2.7 million listeners on Spotify with songs "Tidal Wave," "Love Brought Weight" and "Call Me When You Land" combining for more than 100 million streams.
