Paloma Faith was born in London in 1981 to an English mother and a Spanish father. She studied dance and theater as a child, and got her start as a singer performing at burlesque cabaret clubs while pursuing an MA at London’s Central Saint Martins College. After passing up an offer to join Amy Winehouse’s band, she launched her solo career in 2009 with the hit debut single “Stone Cold Sober”. Her full-length debut album Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful followed later that year, peaking at No. 9 on the UK albums chart and earning praise from critics and fans for its stellar songwriting and broad range of material. Her next two albums – 2012’s Fall to Grace and 2014’s A Perfect Contradiction – both landed at No. 2 in the UK, and produced an impressive string of hit singles including “Picking up the Pieces” and “Only Love Can Hurt Like This”. A talented performer known for her energy and theatricality, Paloma Faith continues to wow concertgoers every time she takes the stage.
