Hip hop and R&B group Pretty Ricky landed on of Power 96's most requested songs ever with the 2005 release of "Grind with Me." Ticket holders describe the typical Pretty Ricky concert as lively and engaging since the group members have a reputation for entertaining the crowd with their synchronized dancing and fluid rapping skills. In addition, Pretty Ricky has held contests during each tour to give fans a chance to win phone calls from group members, VIP seating onstage, and sound-check party passes.
Pretty Ricky's original members included four brothers from Miami: Baby Blue, Spectacular, Pleasure P and Slick'em, with the latter two leaving the group in 2007 and 2009, respectively. As soon as an Atlantic Records executive saw the brothers' talent and local fan base in 2004, the group was signed. Pretty Ricky released its first album, Bluestars, in 2005, which reached No. 16 on the Billboard 200 chart thanks to the popularity of "Grind with Me," "Nothing But a Number" and "Your Body." The next album, Late Night Special, did even better, taking the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart with the help of hit songs "On the Hotline," "Push It Baby" and "Love Like Honey." In 2009, Pretty Ricky released a self-titled album that was largely carried by the popular single "Tipsy (In Dis Club)." Despite disbanding in 2012, the group members of Pretty Ricky have hinted at reunion plans and they were considering working on a fourth album. Fans can only await their comeback, hoping their music is as fierce and exciting as ever.
