In the 1970s, Sammy Hagar made his first appearance in the American rock and roll scene with the band Montrose. Since then, he has launched a hugely successful solo career, which led to his most prominent role as the lead singer of the group Van Halen. In 2008, Hagar formed a group called Chickenfoot, which began its tour after their album rose to #4 on the Billboard Top 100.
