SHIMA is a Japanese-American producer, singer + engineer from Tokyo. She began her music career at 14 as a J-pop singer, performing in a girl group in high school. Ultimately deciding the commercial pop world was not for her, she moved to the states at 18 to study Music & Computer Engineering, discovering a passion for electronic dance music. Post-graduation, she produced music while working full-time as a software developer. During the pandemic, she switched to music full-time to prepare her debut album. Three years in the making, the project is a showcase of razor sharp style, versatility + the sound of an artistic voice set free.
