Jennae Quisenberry & Joshua Dore formed the band in Seattle, WA in 2011. Releasing their debut album Chrysalis in 2013, Slow Bird announced their first national tour in the same year, opening for Minus the Bear for 30 show dates across the USA. They followed up with several additional west coast tours, including recurring performances at Treefort Music Festival in Boise Idaho; Capitol Hill Block Party music festival in Seattle Washington, & Sasquatch Music Festival at The Gorge Washington. After moving to NY in 2017, the duo focused on crafting synth-pop songs that are simultaneously catchy & heart-wrenching.
