The Texas Southern Tigers baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. The team competes in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. The Tigers play their home games at MacGregor Park, which is located on the university's campus.
The Tigers have won two SWAC championships, in 1999 and 2019. They have also appeared in the NCAA Tournament five times, most recently in 2018.
Several former Tigers players have gone on to play professional baseball, one of the most notable being Auntwan Riggins. Riggins, currently a coach at the collegiate level, played college baseball at Texas Southern University and was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 1998 MLB Draft. He played professional baseball for five seasons before beginning his coaching career in 2004.
The Tigers have played their home games at MacGregor Park since 1965. The stadium is named after James MacGregor, who was the head baseball coach at Texas Southern from 1946 to 1965. MacGregor Park has a capacity of 2,500 people.
