BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Trina was born in Miami, FL and grew up penning lyrics in her spare time. In the late '90s her rhymes caught the attention of Trick Daddy, who featured her on his 1998 single "Nann". The song was a hit, reaching No. 3 on the rap charts and earning Trina a distribution deal with Atlantic Records. She made her debut in 2000 with the album Da Baddest B*tch, a commercial hit that spawned several successful singles including fan favorite "Pull Over". For her follow-up effort Trina took more creative control, linking up with producer Missy Elliot to record her 2002 sophomore album Diamond Princess. The album peaked at No. 5 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, racking up the hit singles "Told Y'all", "No Panties", and "B R Right". Her chart rise continued with 2005's Glamorest Life and 2008's Still da Baddest, which topped both the R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap Albums charts. With her highly anticipated sixth studio album slated for a 2015 release, Trina has fans dying to hear her new material live in concert.
