BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Cambridge, England metal enthusiasts Uncle Acid and the Dead Beats began turning heads with their gory stories and monstrous sound around 2009. K.R. Starr (vocals/ guitar) teamed up with brothers Yotam (guitar/ vocals) and Itamar Rubinger (drums) to bring their sludgy tunes and demented aesthetic to the masses starting with their 2010 debut Volume 1. Their sophomore album Blood Lust arrived in 2012 and tracks like “Death’s Door” and “I’ll Cut You Down” drew favorable comparisons to the early sounds of Alice Cooper and Mountain. The group lived out a life-long fantasy in 2013 when they were offered the opportunity to embark on a European tour with a reunited Black Sabbath. Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats continue to explore the depths of their dark and menacing sound both in their impressive live performances and their stellar recorded output, which includes 2015’s acclaimed album The Night Creeper.
