It was as good the second time around!
This was the second time my daughter, granddaughter and I saw Wicked. We love this theater, it's big, there are plenty of restrooms and there isn't a bad seat in the house. It was a little cold, but just bring a sweater. The show was great, the performers were awesome--you'd think ours was the only performance they had given. I've been going to Broadway shows all my life and this one ranks right up there with West Side Story, My Fair Lady and Cabaret. If you like musicals and want a great story mixed with humor, this is a show not to miss.

Wicked was beyond words, great!
I’m personally not into theater, but my daughter and niece are obsessed with singing, dancing and anything theater. Just seeing their faces light up the entire show was enough for me to absolutely love this show. I highly recommend it!

Enjoyable, but far below my expectations
After reading and hearing so many glowing reviews about Wicked, I had very high hopes. Expecting this musical to completely blow me away, I purchased the most expensive tickets for the best seats and was so excited days leading up to it. Unfortunately, I found this musical to be mediocre. It's possible that the cast was just having a bad day, or that Phantom of the Opera I watched a month prior in London starring Ben Lewis (which was absolutely phenomenal and utterly breathtaking), raised my expectations far too high, but I left the show feeling quite disappointed. The plot was complex, the props and stage were interesting, and the singing, dancing, and acting were not bad, but it was not memorable. There was really no "wow" factor. I really wanted to like it and wanted to be impressed by it, but there never came a moment where I was amazed. It was funny, but not hilarious. Touching, but not to the point where it truly moves you and touches your heart. Maybe I would have enjoyed it more if it weren't for all the hype and recognition that this show gets, but I probably would not watch this again for an inflated price.

Fun but forgettable
Wicked was a fun show, but overall somewhat forgettable. There was plenty of talent displayed. The singing was superb and the acting was great. However, the plot was overly shallow, there was a lack of build to some of the more critical aspects of the story, the music was very forgettable, and the choreography wasn't impressive. Having been hyped so much for many years, my expectations were far from met. In my opinion, money would better be spent seeing Lion King or Phantom of the Opera.

A must for Broadway
We have seen this show 3 times. However there is something unforgettable about seeing it on Broadway.

Second time I have seen the play. Loved it just as much as the first time! Music and story line are equally charming.....

See Wicked
Second time seeing it. Glinda was an understudy and she sounded like the originally cast Glinda - so did Alphaba. So good! My only regret is that I sat in the front row and this show has so many beautiful costumes and dances and set things going on I wish I’d sat further back. But it was nice to be so close to their facial expressions:)

Loved it the first time and still wonderful!
I got to see this many years ago with Adina Menzel and I think it's just as wonderful this time around with my lovely nieces.
So much happened before Dorothy dropped in.
WICKED, the Broadway sensation, looks at what happened in the Land of Oz...but from a different angle. Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another young woman, born with emerald-green skin--smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships...until the world decides to call one "good," and the other one "wicked."
With a thrilling score that includes the hits "Defying Gravity," "Popular" and "For Good," WICKED has been hailed by The New York Times as "the defining musical of the decade." Time Magazine cheers, "if every musical had the brain, the heart, and the courage of WICKED, Broadway really would be a magical place."
The Gershwin Theatre on 50th Street and Broadway is that magical place. From the first electrifying note to the final breathtaking moment, WICKED - the untold true story of the Witches of Oz - transfixes audiences with its wildly inventive story. It will send your spirits soaring to heights you'll never forget.
