Dallas Cowboys Team History
The Dallas Cowboys are one of America's favorite football teams for a reason. The team has a history of great plays and great players led by star coaches dating back to 1960, when the franchise, then headed by Tom Landry, joined the NFL. Over the course of 29 years, Landry led the Cowboys to two Super Bowl titles, five Super Bowl appearances, five NFC Championships, 13 division titles and an incredible 20 consecutive winning seasons. Since that time, the team has had eight coaches and won three Super Bowls with one of the best being the 1992 Super Bowl XXVII where the team scored a game best of 52 points. The Cowboys have also produced stellar players, including Emmitt Smith, who led the team to win three league championships, Michael Irvin, who was the previous leader in all receiving categories.
