Disappointing
From the first song it was obvious that it was going to be a long tough night for this iconic singer songwriter. Eighty one years have taken their toll on Kris Kristofferson. He talked more than sang most of the songs, his guitar playing was slow and uneven and he really never took good advantage of the very talented Earl Scruggs Band that was backing him up. If you are going for the music save your money. If you are going to see a great American poet songwriter make it to this tour because it doubtful based on this performance that there will be another tour.

Sweet Sounds of Kris Kristofferson
It was a pleasure and a privilege to see Kris and hear his sweet sounds and especially nice to see him in the intimate atmosphere of the Parker Playhouse. I've really waited all my life to see him play a full concert and it was heart-warming and smile inducing to be seated in the audience! So many favorite songs and he played them all. Thanks Kris Kristofferson for being Kris Kristofferson!

Kris doing the best he can...
I’ve been a fan of his music sine the late 60s. He’s a gifted singer-songwriter and it was great to see him in the small venue of Parker Playhouse in Lauderdale.

So sorry! We left at intermission. Very sad. He should not do any more concerts. He is not up to it anymore.

very fair performance
Unfortunately Kris Kristofferson lost his voice. It was difficult to understand the lyrics and he couldn't reach to range of the notes. He tried hard but I guess he's getting old and has lost his voice.

Kristofferson still has it goin on
Loved the show along with rest of the audience. Yes he is older now, but his words can still move you on every level.

Kris Kristofferson "THE LEGEND"
I have to be honest at first when he came out I thought I would probably leave at the intermission but when it came time for the intermission I realized that he is a "legend" and deserves my respect for someone that is 81 yrs old and getting up on that stage and giving it his all...I needed to stay and I'm so glad I did....this was an amazing concert!!!

no words can describe how bad Kris sounded.
Kris, thank you for serving our country. It is time to retire as a performer.
Kris Kristofferson on Tour
When Kris Kristofferson hits the stage, it's clear why he's become a legend of outlaw country. He plays it like he feels it — as an unfancy, master singer-songwriter, sometimes with a band and sometimes without, strumming his acoustic guitar and delivering his game-changing songs with well-weathered style. His character-rich voice lets you know he's been around the block more than once, and the songs combine a poet's command of language with a country singer's knack for putting things together organically so they go down easy. Along the way, he slips in his one-of-a-kind perspective on things. He might be unpacking the wistful romanticism of "Me and Bobby McGee" or depicting the morning-after madness of "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down," but he always makes you see the world a bit differently.
Kris Kristofferson in Concert
After Kris Kristofferson first started making waves in Nashville in the late '60s, country music (and American music) was forever changed. Singer-songwriters had never written so frankly about sensuality, and country had never had its own Bob Dylan before. With Kristofferson came a glorious collision of poetry-laden lyrics and countercultural sensibilities with the attitude of rock 'n' roll and the template of classic country. Besides making waves with his own albums, he reached into our collective conscience through his songs' numerous covers, performed by artists like Janis Joplin ("Me and Bobby McGee") and Sammi Smith ("Help Me Make It Through the Night"). Before the '70s were over, his natural charisma and chiseled countenance had helped make him a movie star too, with films like Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore and A Star Is Born. Later he became a member of legendary supergroup The Highwaymen, alongside Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. As the decades passed, Kristofferson has never backed away from his commitment to write and perform to the utmost of his abilities. He's a true-blue American legend.
