Modest Mouse Let down

This was my 3rd or 4th Modest Mouse show. Big Let down....they came on stage 9:40 and were done at 10:30. I think Issac was suffering from Allergies, so I cut them a little slack. I was let down on the content of the music they played and the length of time they played. Last time at DTE they played only an hour and half too...I wouldn't recommend this show to anyone anymore....I hope they listen and start to play a little longer set lists....2hours minimum Ive seen my last Modest Mouse concert.....until I hear they are playing longer set lists..

Sound was trash

Idk what was going on but I’ve heard backyard birthday parties with better production. At first I had hoped it was just a crappy opener, but still lots of feedback when MM got on stage.

Great show but the sound mixing was off!

Normally, the shows at the The Ritz are awesome. I've seen a few acts there and everything has been perfect: the sound, the band, the staff, the upstairs VIP lounge, etc. However, something was VERY off with the mixing at this show for both the opening act (Mass Gothic) and Modest Mouse. I could hardly hear the vocals at all - very garbled. Some instruments drowned out the others. I don't think it was part of the show. I mean, I saw Flogging Molly here (very loud act with a lot going on), and the sound was fine. Modest Mouse crew tried to make adjustments throughout the show but finally just gave up and went with it. I'm not sure what happened, but otherwise the show was great. I just wish the sound mixing had been on point!
