Ray disappointed
I love Ray and have seen him before. This venue did not suit his type of music at all. It was too stuffy so everyone sat. Ray does better outside or in a standing venue so people can dance. Also i was HIGHLY disappointed that he did not play even ONE song from Trouble!! The audience was yelling for it and even left early!! That says a lot!! Ray was also really not engaging at all.. didn’t speak between songs.. very little interaction! I think he’s an amazing artist and love all his music including his new album but was EXTREMELY disappointed!

Meh... :-/
I was disappointed in Ray Lamontagne's show because he did not play any of his older, well-known songs. I love his voice and his music, but I was extremely let down by this concert. He also barely addressed the crowd...I would expect more interaction from the artist. It felt like he didn't want to be there...I won't ever spend money on a show of his again. Actually, can I get a refund?? I'm super bummed. :-(

Disappointing
All music sounded similar. The bed had very little interaction with the audience. Ray Lamontagne did not say a word until the fifth or sixth song performed.

Save Your Money
He was decent but he didn’t play any of the songs most people came to see.

Thumbs down to Ray
Very disappointing show. He did not play any fan favorites and he changed his presentation style. People were leaving early and shocked at the end of his performance.

My Second Time Seeing Ray...
Well this is my second time seeing Ray LaMontagne. He is incredibly talented. I fell in love with Ray's bluesy/folk sound. The last tour I saw, Ouroboros, Ray was his own opening act. He came out & did an acoustical set of some of his more well known songs, Shelter, Jolene, Hannah, etc. After the opening set he came out and covered the Ouroboros album. This tour he covered Ouroboros and Part Of The Light, none of his "classics." I was a little bummed out. My date who is a huge Pink Floyd fan and had never seen Ray before, loved the show. His sound & vibe was very comparable to a Pink Floyd show. Quite a few people around us got up & left during the show, I would assume they were not fans of his current music. Moving forward, I would see Ray again but only after checking the set lists of previous shows to see if he is playing a variety of old & new music.

Great concert and venue
Great concert and venue, Ray only played songs from his last three albums, but I knew this going in so I was not too disappointed.

Ray LaMontagne with Neko Case
One of those events where the opening entertainer was better than the main attraction. Ray LaMontagne played only his new stuff which is very different from what he is known for. He did not play one old song including "Trouble" though several people in the audience kept yelling it out. I knew he wouldn't play it when they wouldn't shut up about it but he didn't even play it when he came back out for encore at the end. Some of the songs went on for "days" and repeated the same riff about 10 times-no exaggeration. He also obviously hates performing. He is truly a songwriter and wants to do nothing else but record. It took quite awhile before he even talked to the audience. I thought at first he wasn't going to talk at all. A man of few words though his voice is amazing and his band is very tight, I don't think it was worth what I paid. Neko Case, on the other hand, was amazing, She was refreshing, very good and well liked by the audience. I will start following her.

Ray Lamontagne
We had the ultimate fan experience tickets. Had front row tickets, which were awesome. Had backstage tour and was able to hold one of Ray’s guitars and get a picture. For the money spent on the tickets would have been awesome for Ray to do a meet and greet. Show was nice but was quite disappointed in the setlist. Definite room for improvement there.

He has moved on from me
Ray is one of my favorite musicians of all time. But. He has moved on from me. He doesn’t play the beautiful music that made me love him, lots of pretty bland psychedelic rock instead. I didn’t care about almost every song he played at this show, and it seemed the entire crowd felt the same. Bummer.
Join Ray LaMontagne on the Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour.
Ray's vast catalog spans nine full length records, chart topping radio singles, and a Grammy win, in addition to multiple Grammy nominations. This year will prove to be an exciting one for LaMontagne as he heads out on the road celebrating his first full length album, Trouble, playing the album in its entirety as well as songs from across his catalog.
Of this landmark anniversary, LaMontagne has written the following personal note to his fans:
As many of you know, last September was the 20th anniversary of the release of Trouble. Twenty years. Two Decades. That's a lot of water under the bridge. Every cell in my body has changed three times over in that time. I have been three times reborn.
There are moments in your life when you need to place a marker. Some people think that it is brave, or fearless, to never look back. I don't believe that. For the simple reason that if you never look back you will never see how far you have come. This year I place a sign post: twenty years of Trouble.
When Trouble was initially released Vinyl was considered a dead format, never to breathe again Digital audio was the new King. As we know this has proved untrue. Each year more and more music lovers are listening to Vinyl and appreciating it for its depth and breadth of sound, for its physical heft, for its tangible realness. Over the past few months Brian Lee and Bob Jackson at Waygate Mastering have remastered the album for the first time specifically for Vinyl. And I have to say, it sounds incredible. They have managed to bring out subtleties in the vocals, the instrumentation, that were somehow lost previously. It sounds as if a sonic veil has been lifted. I cannot thank them enough.
To further honor this moment I will be hitting the road later this summer for the Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour, playing the album top to tail for the first time since it was released. I hope you will come out and join me and my friends and help us celebrate this moment in time. It wouldn't be the same without you.
