The Pretenders still rock!
Loved It! Chrissie Hynde was amazing! Favorite songs of the night were Middle of the Road and Hymn to Her...she was so real when she sung this and struggled a bit. I would highly recommend seeing them.

Great show
Wonderful to hear Chrissie again - their last Indy show was canceled at the last minute. The only complaint was the early show mix that buried Chrissie under the band. About 1/3 of the way in they got it improved.

Chrissy was spot on!
Only negative was the audience stood the entire time and I, being 5 foot tall, had a hard time viewing the stage.

Didn't play a couple of songs I wanted to hear but overall I like their groove and she has a great voice.

Pretenders 2018
Great show! But did not play Brass in Pocket! and I’ll stand by you??? Before the show the venue no cameras no recording I felt like I was back in the 80’s lol. Also Martin still kicks ass on drums!!!

Chrissy Hynde has still got it.
The Pretenders rocked the Taft Theatre. The Taft is a smaller venue... my seats were "way back" in Row "V" --- but compared to a large venue -- I felt like I was sitting pretty close. The band was great. Sure it was mostly dishing out the classic Pretenders hits from the 70's/80's -- but that's exactly why I went...and they did not disappoint. They didn't play all of their biggest hits -- but the selection was great --- and the concert was fairly long. I've been to some concerts where it seems like they play for 45 min or so. I occasionally feel like "that's it?" -- Not so with the Pretenders. They rocked on for a good while. Chrissy sounds great. I am so glad I went. Some artists dissapoint when it's almost 40 years after their peak popularity. Not so with the Pretenders. Of course the band has seen many members come and go. It's kept them fresh.

Pretenders never sounded better! Vocals spot on.
Taft is one of the premier venues in Ohio may be the entire country! The one thing that falls way short is how hot it was. I was in the balcony center 1st row it is hard to boogie with the tight quarters but it didn't stop me. The band played their best songs and returned to the stage 3 times which is amazing due to the temp. It had to be over 100 degrees on the stage with the heat from the lighting. The guitarist James Whitfield killed it! He also played in the warmup band which unfortunately I didn't quite catch their name. As a duo with nothing but 2 12 string and vocals, they filled the room with an amazing sound.

Pretenders
Sound made it difficult to hear vocals clearly. The show only lasted 80 minutes
The Pretenders in Concert
The Pretenders cross the bridge between punk, new wave and pop music like no other band, with genre-defining songs like "I'll Stand By You," "Back On The Chain Gang" and "Don't Get Me Wrong." The band has sold over 25 million albums and founder & leader Chrissie Hynde is one of contemporary music's greatest songwriters. Chrissie's 2015 memoir Reckless: My Life As a Pretender, was hailed by the New York Times upon its release as "honest and distinctive... a love letter to rock and roll." After delivering 2016's unflinchingly head-strong Alone album (produced by the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach), the Pretenders continue to tour worldwide.
The Pretenders on Tour
The Pretenders are set for an extensive North American tour in 2020 with Journey to feature all new production and hits from start to finish in the 60+ date tour. Fans can expect to hear iconic classics from The Pretenders and Journey.
