Intuitively playing off each other, the band's talented roster of musicians improvise freely atop a full-throttle rhythm section that consistently brings fans to their feet for a dance in the aisles. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Named after a food fight that heavily featured cheese, the String Cheese Incident kicked off in Colorado in 1993, self-releasing their early bluegrass-influenced albums and building a regional following with their extended live shows. In 2001, the band debuted a more rock-oriented sound with third album Outside Inside, broadening their fanbase and touring extensively throughout the US. 2003's Untying the Not further expanded the band's repertoire of styles with its inclusion of electronic and trance elements, paving the way for the continued sonic development that has characterized their subsequent releases.
